Lauren Larkin

Lauren Larkin is a Gifted Curriculum Specialist, Identification Coordinator, Creative Writing Specialist, and Upper Elementary Teacher. A Richmond native, Mrs. Larkin graduated from James Madison University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Gifted Endorsement as well as a History and Social Studies Endorsement. Go Dukes! She comes to us after teaching and learning with students in both Chesterfield and Henrico County Public Schools. She serves the Academy as an Upper Elementary Co-Teacher, Professor of Applied Sciences, and Gifted Curriculum Specialist and Identification Coordinator.

Lauren served as a member of the Writing Evaluation and Admissions Committee for Moody Middle School. When she is not at school, she enjoys traveling, baking/cooking, reading, bike riding, visiting art museums, engaging in service opportunities, and spending time with her family: Mr. Larkin, 6-year-old Audrey, and teenage daughters Lucy and Leanne. Her favorite place in the world is either on a beach or eating a croissant at a Paris cafe while watching the world go by.
