Our History

The Academy of Academic Excellence was founded in 1997,

by master educator Rita Busch. Rita continues to serve as owner, dean, and roving teacher. AAE was founded as an environment that inspires each child to learn and grow. Our school serves students with varying talents, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. AAE offers each child a customized curriculum to ensure that they are academically challenged.

Our paradigm includes multi-age grouping with an emphasis on critical thinking and growth mindset. AAE enrolls students from pre-Kindergarten to fifth grade. Our balanced learning environment sparks a life-long love of learning in our students. Academics are complemented with Art, Music, Physical Education, Yoga, and Spanish to name a few.

Our unique approach to assess and meet each child’s individual needs is one way we continue to redefine learning.
